Billy Boulden became the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Sorority and Fraternity Engagement at Iowa State University in July 2013. In his role he provides leadership for the Sorority and Fraternity Community and supports the Dean of Students. Prior to ISU, he served as the Associate Director of Greek Life at Florida State University, Assistant Director of Student Activities at Longwood University, and Senior Leadership Consultant for Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.
Originally from Glen Allen, Virginia, Mr. Boulden received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Leadership Studies from Christopher Newport University and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. He has served in various leadership capacities within higher education through his involvement in the Association of Fraternity Sorority Advisors and the National Association of Campus Activities where he received the Shuronda H. Smith New Professional Award in 2010. In 2016, Billy was honored by Chi Phi Fraternity as the Campus Administrator of the Year. In 2018, he was named the Fraternity/Sorority Adviser of the Year from Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Billy is an active volunteer for the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors, the Association for Fraternal Leadership and Values, Beta Theta Pi Fraterntiy, Delta Chi Fraternity, Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, Chi Phi Fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, Sigma Kappa Sorority, and the North-American Interfraternity Conference.
When not at work, you can find Billy at the Factory Strength and Conditioning or at home playing with his dog, Finn.
