Sigma Chi

Nickname: Sigs
Sigma Chi is a brotherhood rooted in the collegiate experience, fostering a lifelong commitment to true friendship, equal justice, and the pursuit of learning. We embrace these ideals as part of our greater responsibility to the communities in which we live. We uphold these principles by practicing the values set forth in our Ritual, and we continually reaffirm our purpose through adherence to Sigma Chi’s Governing Laws and the decisions of our legislative bodies, which guide and empower our leadership. Sigma Chi is made up of 233 undergraduate chapters and 126 alumni chapters, and operates through four key entities: the Sigma Chi Fraternity, the Sigma Chi Foundation, the Risk Management Foundation, and Constantine Capital, Inc. The Sigma Chi chapter at Iowa State University, known as the Beta Omicron Chapter, has a proud history dating back to 1916. After a five-year hiatus, we returned to campus in 2023. Today, we are a motivated, hardworking group of brothers who are dedicated to making the most of the college experience — balancing our commitment to excellence with a spirit of camaraderie and fun.
