Nickname: Pi Phi & Angels

The Iowa Gamma Chapter was chartered in 1877 and was the first sorority on Iowa State's campus. Pi Beta Phi's values are integrity, lifelong commitment, honor and respect, philanthropic service to others, personal and intellectual growth, and sincere friendship. Our values are at the core of everything we do as Pi Phis and are part of what brings us together. This chapter is full of members who are passionate, ambitious, and determined to make an impact by being involved in both the Sorority and Fraternity Community as well as the ISU community and Ames community.

"Pi Beta Phi has given me countless memories, leadership opportunities and friends that will turn into lifelong friendships. Thinking back on the girl that came in as a Freshman to now the women of Pi Beta Phi have shaped me and challenged me to grow into a better woman and leader. Beyond friends within the Iowa Gamma chapter I have had the unique experience to meet Pi Phi’s from across the US and Canada. I am forever proud to wear the golden arrow and belong to the wine and silver blue."
