Leadership

The ability to guide individuals or an organization toward a common goal

There are many ways students can get involved as a sorority and fraternity leader. There are many opportunities through each chapter, members can serve as an officer or on a committee internally to support the vision and mission of their organization. Chapter leadership is supported by a team of alumni, both at the national and local level, and through university resources. Outside of their chapter, the sorority and fraternity community provides opportunities through governing councils and multiple special interest groups and programs in the community.

Sorority and fraternity members are also making an impact at Iowa State by serving in leadership roles and being involved in organizations and activities across campus. Members have been involved in Student Government, Student Alumni Leadership Council, Student Union Board, Blood Drive, Cyclone Alley, Homecoming, DanceMarathon, Fashion Show, Black Student Alliance and Mexican-American Young Achievers Society (MAYAS).  Sorority and fraternity members strive to be leaders throughout the Iowa State community, not just the sorority and fraternity community.
