Gamma Sigma Alpha
Gamma Sigma Alpha exists to recognize and advance academic excellence as a core value of fraternities and sororities. This honor society was developed by students and offers members the opportunity to cultivate leadership skills through officer positions, creating events and gives the chance for creative thinkers to assist with expansion of the organization. Members receive the unique opportunity to network with university faculty and administration and other outstanding sorority and fraternity students through the Society’s goals and activities. This personal development based organization will provide members with access to scholarships and receive recognition for their academic achievements.
Students are eligible for membership based on grade point average, completed credit hours, and membership in a sorority or fraternity. Gamma Sigma Alpha strives to uphold the high ideals of scholastic achievement and therefore, only students that have completed 39 credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) or students with a 3.5 GPA in any semester during their junior year or senior year are eligible to apply for membership in Gamma Sigma Alpha.
