Sigma Chi was established at the University of Miami in Oxford, Ohio in June of 1855 by seven men sharing a common belief in brotherhood through the means of Friendship, Justice, and Learning. The Fraternity has grown exponentially since its inception, now with over 300,000 initiates, 220,000 living alumni, 240 undergraduate chapters, and 150 alumni chapters. Our strength lies in our widespread support from alumni and loyalty among members.
