Pi Alpha Phi
Ames, IA 50014
Pi Alpha Phi Fraternity Inc. is nationally the Oldest Asian interest Fraternity. We were founded in UC Berkeley February 1st, 1929. Pi Alpha Phi at Iowa State is the first and only Asian Interest Fraternity to date. We colonized on December 5th, 2014. We stand by our 5 Pillars (in no particular order). Brotherhood. Academic Excellence. Philanthropy. Leadership. Asian American Awareness. We are here to break the stereotype of the average Asian male. We are here to spread awareness and acceptance of other cultures. While we may be an Asian interest Fraternity we are not exclusive. Pi Alpha Phi is where leaders are created and Asian awareness is exhibited, because our future needs outstanding individuals and role models. Academic excellence and philanthropy allow us to utilize the knowledge we learn in the classroom to give back to the world and show that we can make an impact. And most importantly Brotherhood is forged; for one does not simply extend life-long friendship without tradition, shared values, and unity. Pi Alpha Phi opens the door towards networking, social events, and organizational assets for young potential individuals to not only explore, but to genuinely experience the excitement of college.
