Phi Delta Theta - Iowa Gamma
2035 Sunset Drive
Ames, IA 50014
The Iowa Gamma chapter of Phi Delta Theta was founded on Iowa State's campus in 1913. We moved into the old Alpha Phi sorority house on Sunset Drive across from Kappa Delta in 1998. ISU Phi Delts have had a long history of academic achievement and high campus involvement. We've consistently been ranked in the top ten for fraternity GPA and are represented in many campus organizations. Phi Delts have held executive positions in Freshmen Council, Blood Drive, Dance Marathon, Homecoming, and many others. The Iowa Gamma chapter is mainly responsible for bringing Dance Marathon to the Iowa State University campus. Our members hold positions through the entire hierarchy of Dance Marathon and always have one of the largest amounts of participants. Over the past 22 years, 11 Phi Delts have held the position of General Co-director in Dance Marathon. The Harvard Trophy, given to the Best Overall Large Chapter of Phi Delta Theta in the United States, frequents 2035 Sunset Drive as well. Out of the 200 other Phi Delt chapters in the United States, Iowa Gamma has won the Harvard Trophy 17 times, including five consecutive wins between the years of 2000 and 2004. When the old Harvard Trophy was retired a few years ago, it took up permanent residence in our chapter facility. Become the greatest version of yourself at Phi Delta Theta - Iowa Gamma.
