Alpha Gamma Rho is a social and professional fraternity that molds the best men in the field of agriculture through brotherhood. Eta chapter at Iowa State is consistantly one of the top chapters in the national Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Alpha Gamma Rho values leadership, scholarship, and above all brotherhood.

Philanthropy Alpha Gamma Rho holds two philanthropies in the fall. BBQ B4 Books is the Sunday before schools starts. BBQ B4 Books raises money for Heifer Project International which is an organization that empowers impoverish communities by giving them animals in order that they may use agriculture to feed their family and community. The second philanthropy is Agger Fries which is a new philanthropy which benefits the American Cancer Society and is held in late September and partners with Relay for Life by registering applicants and all proceeds go to the American Cancer Association.
